Free Pancake Breakfast at DECSA this Wednesday
Mark your calendars, folks! DECSA is hosting its 10th Annual Community Pancake Breakfast on July 6th from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. Come out with your friends and family to enjoy FREE food and the time of your life!
We’ll be serving a hearty breakfast of pancakes, eggs, sausages, juice, and coffee. Kids can join in organized games, have their faces painted by professionals from Face to FaceXpress, play in a bouncy castle, and tour a fire truck with firefighters from Station #7 of Edmonton Fire Rescue Services. Adults can eat, chat, and listen to a few words from special guests Councillor Tony Catarina, Darryl Szafranski from Northlands, and Elder Emil Durocher. Edmonton Public Library will also be present with free library cards.
“Last year’s breakfast was a blast,” says one guest. “The food was great, the kids had a good time, and I spent the whole morning meeting new people!” After taking in the festivities, guests can snap a quick picture at the photo booth to create everlasting mementos of the occasion.
DECSA hosts this breakfast every year to celebrate the passionate, resilient community we serve and to develop a deeper, more meaningful connection with all our friends and neighbours. “This breakfast is one small way that DECSA gives back to our community, partners, and most importantly, the clients who walk through our doors,” says Deborah Rose, CEO of DECSA.
Come and join the fun this Wednesday! Rain or shine, we’ll be set up on the front lawn of 11515 71 St. NW, so bring your friends, family, and acquaintances to enjoy another lovely breakfast hosted by your friendly neighborhood non-profit.
